The connectorFor people who run several businesses
Steward gives your small businesses AI agents: assistants that do the work, not just answer questions. They reply to customers, follow up with leads, update the website and post the news. When something needs your yes, a card with a question and buttons comes to your phone.
How it works
Each one gets its own chat, a monthly spending limit, and a short rulebook: what it sells, to whom, and what it must never do.
Every few hours, an agent looks at each business and does the next useful thing. It replies to a customer, writes the follow-up, updates a page, ticks off the to-do list.
A question, what Steward recommends, and buttons. Tap one, even from your lock screen. Everything else just happens, and is written down.
The card
The ones marked Always ask every time. The others can earn more freedom, as you'll see below.
On your phone
The iPhone app holds what you need on the go: your chats, your cards, and how each business is doing.

One chat per business. Ask @steward anything, like "what needs me?"

Revenue, signups and visits across all of them, and what needs you.

Who owns it, its numbers, its rulebook and its spending limit.
Trust
Every kind of task, like "send an email" or "post on Instagram", has its own setting for each business. New ones start by asking you.
Practice. It notes what it would have done. Nothing happens.
It sends you a card first. Most new things start here.
It acts, then shows you, with Looks good or Roll back.
It just does it, and says so in the chat.
Approve the same kind of task 5 times in a row, and Steward asks to move it up a step.
Decline once, or roll something back, and it moves down a step.
Studios
A studio is one group of partners and the businesses they share. Run your own businesses in one, and a venture with a partner in another.
Each studio has its own people, its own agent, its own chats and its own numbers. Nothing crosses over. Switch between them like workspaces, on the web and on your phone.
Bring your own agent
You don't need any of this to start. It's for when you, or whoever helps with your tech, want Steward's agents to run on an AI plan you already pay for, or to plug in an AI agent you already use.

The connectorClaude Code, Codex and others connect with a token from Settings. They follow the same cards and limits as Steward's own agent.

Owner guideSecurity and ownership
Your whole studio is one database file. Download it, or every record as JSON, whenever you like.
The keys that connect Steward to your email, payments and other accounts live in the server's settings. Never in the database, the logs or the backups.
If an agent runs on your computer, it only reaches out to Steward. Nothing on your computer is opened to the internet.
A customer's email reaches agents as text to read, never as instructions. Work it starts waits for you.
Every message, task, card and action goes in a log nobody can edit. Most of what an agent does can be undone with one button.
Prefer your own server? You, or whoever runs your tech, can host Steward yourselves.
Questions
People who run several small businesses and want help with the day-to-day: owner-operators, managers who look after more than one location or brand, and consultants who run things for clients. It suits businesses that already know what they sell and to whom.
No. You talk to Steward in plain words, in a chat, and answer cards. If you do code, your own agent can work in your projects on your own computer.
A few minutes a day: answer the cards that come in, and skim the short morning brief. You decide how often Steward asks.
Its own paperwork: plans, to-do lists, drafts and reports. Writing to people, spending money and going public start as cards, until you've approved that kind of thing enough times in a row.
Today: email, Stripe for payments, Facebook, Instagram, Bluesky and WhatsApp, your website's code on GitHub, and hosting on Railway and Cloudflare. Booking and scheduling tools aren't connected yet. When an agent hits something it can't do, it says so, and you see the list.
Every business has a monthly spending limit for the AI. When it's reached, work on that business stops and Steward tells you. One switch pauses a business completely.
Claude, by default. It can run on an AI account the studio pays for, with a monthly limit for each business, or on a Claude plan you already have. GPT, Gemini and other models work too, and each business can use a different one.
Yes. Chats, cards and each business's numbers are on iPhone, and on the web on any phone. During early access the iPhone app comes through TestFlight, Apple's app for trying new apps. You only need a computer if you want an agent to run on your own machine.
Prices aren't set yet, and early access is free. The plan is a small monthly base plus a small share of the revenue your businesses record in Steward. If a business earns nothing, you pay only the base. You'll see the price before anything is charged.
You do, with any partners you name. Each business records who owns what share and who decides what.
We're opening Steward to a few studios at a time. Tell us a little about what you run, and we'll email you when there's room.
One email when your studio is ready. No newsletter.
We'll write to you when there's room for your studio. Until then, the owner guide shows what a day with Steward looks like.
